Cancellation Policy

We understand that life can be unpredictable. To ensure we can accommodate all our furry clients, we request that you provide us with sufficient notice if you need to change your appointment.

    We understand that plans can change. However, as each appointment is reserved specifically for your dog, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. A £25 fee may apply for late cancellations or missed appointments.

Service Policies

We strive to provide a safe, calm, and professional experience for every dog in our care.

  • Pet Welfare: The health and comfort of your pet is our top priority. If a dog becomes overly stressed or aggressive, we may stop the groom for their safety.
  • Health & Hygiene: Please ensure your dog is up to date with vaccinations and free from fleas/ticks before their visit.
  • Matted Coats: For heavily matted dogs, we prioritize 'comfort over vanity.' Clipping a matted coat is the kindest option and may incur an extra charge.
  • Client Responsibility: Please disclose any known medical conditions, allergies, or behavioral issues prior to the appointment.

General Terms of Service

These terms govern the professional relationship between Dog Grooming by Ellie and our valued clients, ensuring a safe and transparent experience for every dog in our care.

  • Booking and Estimates: All quotes provided are estimates based on standard breed sizes and typical coat conditions. Final pricing will be confirmed after an initial assessment of your dog at the start of the appointment.
  • Animal Welfare: The comfort and safety of your dog are our primary concern. We reserve the right to stop or alter a groom if we believe it is causing undue stress or pain to the animal.
  • Matted Coats: In cases of severe matting, we follow a 'humanity before vanity' policy. This may involve clipping the coat short to alleviate discomfort, which will be discussed with the owner prior to proceeding.
  • Health and Vaccinations: Owners must inform us of any pre-existing health conditions, allergies, or behavioral issues. We strongly recommend that all dogs are up-to-date with their vaccinations.
  • Flea Policy: If a dog is found to have fleas during a groom, a surcharge will apply for the specialized products used and the deep cleaning of the studio to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Property and Liability: While we take every precaution to ensure a safe environment, Dog Grooming by Ellie cannot be held liable for any loss or damage to personal belongings brought onto the premises.
